About

The Frugal Girl Challenge is my personal journey to save more, spend less and find happiness in simplicity.

Today's society falsely imbues us to spend beyond our means and to be poor stewards of the money we earn. There are many wonderful things about our modern culture, but it is also increasingly difficult to navigate the materialistic, consumer-driven waters that often lead us into financial trouble.

I'm a young, single college graduate who has pursued a career in the non-profit world - my job is fulfilling and rewarding, but I have had to recontemplate the way that I spend money and make ends meet.

I encourage you to explore my site and posts and to rethink they way you spend money and look at life.  It doesn't mean that you have to grow your own vegetables, sew your own clothes, never dine out again (although if that's a lifestyle that you choose, that's great!) - but you can make small and even drastic changes to your life that will leave you feeling more fulfilled while saving you money to do the things in life that mean the most to you.

Enjoy!
